I had to pick the Ibanez softer than the PRS to make it work.Nice!
The CU24 had a smoother sound in the note attack to my ear, and I preferred that for the vibe of the backing track, although without a back to back I would definitely be saying that I liked the Ibanez as well.
Love my Grunt Style Shirts!!!!Man, that's not grunt style, @yell03!
You played such casually the guitars. Between 2012 and 2022 I was owner of a Fuji-gen made RG 570 CTAM. In position 2 and 4 your IBZ (and my formerly possessed RG) come very close to the typical throaty stratty tone, which the CU can't provide. Though - by your record - the CU offers a warmer sound.
I sold my soul to Toluol. Um, I sold my RG because the slim Wizard neck annoyed me - and for HSH layout I'm very pleased with the tonal options of a 513.
Thank you for your service! To me as a serviceman GRUNT is always connoted good, herby have a virtual feeling of an appreciative pat on the back.
The buy of my IBZ was driven by the wish to have a worthwhile double locking vibrato system guitar. And the RG 570 CTAM with its wooden look fit perfect to my herd. But I could adapt myself to the neck profile.
I kept it 10 years and sold it. The difference between my costs and the selling price was small, because IBZ guitars are demanded.
It plays well and sounds good for sure, but I just always reach for my Gibsons over my Ibanez, it just won't get used enough so I have decided to sell it.I have an Ibanez Prestige right here in this house that belongs to my brother. Good guitar. Sounds nice. I guess I too kinda thought of it as a metal and shredder's guitar but it doesn't have to be that. I like the sound it makes but find it to be an axe I just don't particularly play well. And that could be my fault and not the guitar's.
Hoping it sells soon, I just ordered the Gibson SG VOS and need to recoup some funds before the wife finds out, lolHighly apprection for your kindness!
I paid - second hand - 600 EUR and sold it successfully for 500. New in 1995 it cost approx. 1,700 DM. The 570 CTAM was a one year production model and had Prestige typical materiel (body wood alder and Bolivian rosewood fretboard).
Prestige line is more expensive.
For some reason I assess an Ibanez RG (even Prestige) easier to re-buy than a Gibson or PRS, which are more unique in a series.
She will be fine with it, but I still need to part with something.Happy life by happy wife. An iron rule.
A larger herd blurs traces of incoming guitars![]()
I even told the wife I bought the SG, she is cool.Awesome twist!
