Two fairly similar guitars, both 24 frets with 5 way pickup selector, but at very different price points.
I figured a video comparing the two would be cool, so here it is.
The Ibanez gets pegged as a Metal guitar, but it can do much more.

Nice!

The CU24 had a smoother sound in the note attack to my ear, and I preferred that for the vibe of the backing track, although without a back to back I would definitely be saying that I liked the Ibanez as well.

I had to pick the Ibanez softer than the PRS to make it work.
No doubt the Custom 24 is the better guitar and has better tone, but for $1500 Brand New the Ibanez is a heck of a deal.
Either one you could gig with no problem and nobody would complain about the tone.

Man, that's not grunt style, @yell03!
You played such casually the guitars. Between 2012 and 2022 I was owner of a Fuji-gen made RG 570 CTAM. In position 2 and 4 your IBZ (and my formerly possessed RG) come very close to the typical throaty stratty tone, which the CU can't provide. Though - by your record - the CU offers a warmer sound.
I sold my soul to Toluol. Um, I sold my RG because the slim Wizard neck annoyed me - and for HSH layout I'm very pleased with the tonal options of a 513.

Love my Grunt Style Shirts!!!!
The Ibanez does a very nice single coil tone, but the PRS does also.
I actually have the Ibanez up for sale on Reverb, Craigslist, and some other guitar forums.
I like the guitar a lot, but I really want a Gibson SG VOS and you know how it goes, one in, one out.
I had to choose between the PRS and the Ibanez to sell, I decided the PRS suits me better.

Truth is for what i am selling the Ibanez for it is almost not worth selling, but I want to keep my herd thin.

To me as a serviceman GRUNT is always connoted good, herby have a virtual feeling of an appreciative pat on the back.
The buy of my IBZ was driven by the wish to have a worthwhile double locking vibrato system guitar. And the RG 570 CTAM with its wooden look fit perfect to my herd. But I could adapt myself to the neck profile.
I kept it 10 years and sold it. The difference between my costs and the selling price was small, because IBZ guitars are demanded.

I have an Ibanez Prestige right here in this house that belongs to my brother. Good guitar. Sounds nice. I guess I too kinda thought of it as a metal and shredder's guitar but it doesn't have to be that. I like the sound it makes but find it to be an axe I just don't particularly play well. And that could be my fault and not the guitar's.

Thank you for your service!
I am going to get killed on this sale, I will lose at least $600, but if it end up in good hands I am OK with it.
I have it listed on the forums for $999 shipped.
Soft market right now for sellers.

It plays well and sounds good for sure, but I just always reach for my Gibsons over my Ibanez, it just won't get used enough so I have decided to sell it.
Even my PRS won't get used as much, but between the two I would rather keep the PRS.

Highly apprection for your kindness!

I paid - second hand - 600 EUR and sold it successfully for 500. New in 1995 it cost approx. 1,700 DM. The 570 CTAM was a one year production model and had Prestige typical materiel (body wood alder and Bolivian rosewood fretboard).

Prestige line is more expensive.
For some reason I assess an Ibanez RG (even Prestige) easier to re-buy than a Gibson or PRS, which are more unique in a series.

Hoping it sells soon, I just ordered the Gibson SG VOS and need to recoup some funds before the wife finds out, lol
