Just finished replacing the pickups in my PRS SE Custom 24-08. I got some BareKnuckle Polymaths, since I'm looking for more of modern sound rather than classic. I also replaced the two-way mini-toggles with three-way ones, since these pickups can be set to use both coils either in parallel or in series, and the three-ways let you switch between series, parallel, and single coil for each pickup. With the stock pickups, I found some of the neck/bride/humbucking/split combinations didn't blend very well, or at least not to my liking. The Polymaths sound AMAZING, and every single combination (of which there are now 15 of instead of 8!) sounds good. The series and parallel humbucking settings sound quite different, and are very useful. It really makes it easy to dial in just the tone you want for certain purposes.

The folks at BareKnuckle put together a wiring diagram for the 24-08 setup, replacing the mini-toggles with three-ways. I assume at some point they will add that diagram to the list on their Wiring Diagrams page. Until then, if anyone is interested, here it is. I assume it will work with any of their humbuckers that can do both parallel and series with both coils.

Any pics of the guitar?!? Did you get the polymath pickup covers? I have yet to try that set, but they sound great in all the demos. Also, I’m a huge fan of Nolly.

No, no covers. I wanted to maintain the original look of the guitar, plus they cost extra. It looks exactly like it did before the swap, so you wouldn't suspect that there are three-way mini-switches in there. The polymaths sound incredible in all positions! The series and parallel settings sound significantly different, and I find I'm using every single one of the 24 different combinations for different purposes, depending on the amp sim and patch I'm using. I'm playing it mostly through some NeuralDSP plugins (Archetype Henson, Archetype Plini, and Morgan).

Are those split coils? If so, do you find all the positions useful?
They are splittable and I connected the splits so it still acts functionally like a 24-08.
You can get the Hades Gates in uncovered and other colors/metals, too!

I use every position at some point in time and get useful tones in every setting!
