PRS Custom 22

dogrocketp my only Amp as I said is the Vox AC30HW2 now would a Mesa
Boogie be a better match or would a Fender or a newer style like Quilter.
Sometimes finding the right Guitar and Amp takes a while with me I'm old
school. I don't like an Amp with Master Volume or Gain I'm more of a Fender
Twin Reverb Amp style like they had in the 60's. I've never been big on Fender
guitars most of my friends that's all they played then in 1988 I got my first Custom 24
and of all the guitars that I've had since then that one was the best.

I don`t think there is an amp that "guarantees" a certain sound. When I play out, I mostly use a tech 21 trademark 60, because it can sound like most amps that are made. It`s also light weight for an old guy like me. If t`s a really good gig, then the PRS SE 30 amp comes out. It has more guts than any amp I`ve ever played through, but it weighs 60 lbs.Even with a hand truck, it`s a PIA, but it sounds too good to ever sell. I`d say don`t do anything for at least a month, just play with the controls on your guitar and amp. Once you`ve exhausted every possibility, then think about what you believe your sound needs to make you happy. If you`re lucky, that combo will giv you what you want.

One of my favourite sounds is a Fender Deluxe Reverb with a Celestion G12M-25 in it. IMO, it sounds like rock and roll.
