PRS CE24's newer model neck

I'm in the mid-stage of convincing myself to get another CE. I have my red redo and another blue flame maple. I was looking at the newer line as I like the bird inlays.

I didn't find an answer in my thread search but are they now a 1 piece maple neck or scarf joint set up. Anyone have any experience of comparing a new model to one from around 1998 or so.

3 piece neck with a scarf joint and they’re great.

Yes. I have had older CEs and currently have 2 new reissues. The necks are fabulous. I prefer the new neck to the old. It's smooth, stable and a joy to play.

I've also owned several older CEs and prefer the neck on the new model - it's simply fantastic. I also like the feel of the shallower top carve.

Thanks guys, I haven't been able to get close to one to try it yet. Looks nice with the clear finish headstock without the the 2 little laminated pieces, more refined look
