PRS CE-3 (CE-24) 10 top?

My 97 ce has a 10 stamped on back of headstock. I was told the 10 stamp means its a 10 top. Were there CEs with 10 tops? The top is nice on this guitar but IMO it doesn't look like a 10 top.

That looks really odd. As far as I know CE's didn't have 10 tops. I wonder if a previous owner did that for giggles or to try to get some more money out of it.

I agree with Garrett. It also looks different than other stamped '10's I have seen.
