Well, after over seven years gigging and practicing at least twice a week the handle on Custom 22 case broke, one side anyway. Question is can these handles be replaced? I could order a new case but this one has the broken in character of being with me all this time.

Thanks for the help.

I had this happen to my G&L case about a year after I bought the guitar in 1983. I fixed it myself back then but I'm embarrassed to tell you how I did it. Its still that way after all this time.

Short of making sweet love to it to coax it back together I can't imagine how anything could be embarrassing.

ok, here it is.............

This repair lasted much longer than original handle.

You're embarrassed about it? That's the best kind of repair. You'd never notice if you weren't looking for it, yet it's made with common household materials.

Yeah but I couldn't drive my car for a week because I robbed the hose clamp but replaced it with one off my dryer vent but thern couldn't dry my clothes for a week...............................................................................................

 sounds about right!

Been a while since I checked this. Love the hose clamp, very clever. Well, my wife called me a hillbilly. I took a red bandana and looped it through the handle posts a couple times and tied a knot. Perfectly functional.

That's a great idea! After a gig you could rob a stagecoach!!!!

Not that I want to discourage anyone's creativity with hose clamps, electrical tape, or bandanas, but you guys might be interested in something like this leather handle from Allparts:
