Well, at almost 64, after decades of hemming and hawing, I finally have a PRS in the house. I took advantage of Wildwood's PRS Vault sale and ended up with an '08 NOS McCarty II, in spite of the less-than-popular MVC. While not exactly cheap, the price was too good to pass up. Though the MVC is working as designed, I use it mostly passive anyway in a church band doing Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, etc covers. The two 245 HBs produce exceptional and satisfying tone, no doubt. With or without the MVC, the McCarty II exhibits the same impressive build quality and seductive playability that characterizes all PRS's. So, while it took a while, I finally made it!

Welcome! We all love to drool over pictures around here, do you have any?

Well, JustRob, I have a couple of pics from Wildwood, but my permissions say I can't post attachments. Once I figure a way around that, I'll attach them. Curiously, there seems to be a Paul Reed Smith signature or autograph of some kind on the backplate. I don't know if that was common among PRS's.

Best Regards,

I guess pics have to be approved by a moderator. I wish I had known that before I posted three times wondering what was happening!! HaHa!! The signed backplate is pretty cool, hope it doesn't wear off.
