Just wondering if I'm the only one here asking why the PRS Amp Manuals have not been updated to include the HXDA and Archon since they are the most acclaimed models in the product line.

My Archon came with a nice manual. It has all the info you would need about the amp, don't know if the HXDA comes with one

The HXDA doesn't come with one.

I used the manual for the 25th anniversary amp as a reference, since it's based off that amp, but a manual that addresses the HXDA's features would be most appreciated!

I do wonder why it's too difficult for PRS Support to scan the HXDA Amp manual and post it on the Support Page as a pdf like all the other ones there. Is it a 'Company Secret'?

I don't think there has ever been an HX/DA manual. I didn't get a manual with mine and emailed Customer Service. They told me there's not one.

So if a HX/DA manual does not come with a brand new amp(combo or head) and the support site doesn't list one...you might ask yourself why PRS would not make one available. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, it's pretty easy to work the amp. I mean, it's a single channel, all tube, classic amp. There really aren't a whole lot of deep dark secrets.

But I'd like a manual anyway. ;)

As to the HX/DA (and the MDT), I think that part of the problem is that they were evolving products and enough of them are out there in a bunch of configurations (and dial labels, etc.) that a one-size-fits all product manual would be tough to generate. Amplifier manuals don't usually say very much anyway other than to describe what the knobs and switches do....which isn't usually much of a mystery. It's not like these things have complicated midi functionality or a USB interface, or whatever. At the high end, PRS amps are a small boutique operation even though PRS as a company is big. Open one up and you'll see what I mean.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure my Archon came with a manual (not that I know where it is at the moment...)

Until PRS Support publishes a HX/DA User Manual that describes exactly what each of the 3 switches functionally do to the signal path on the amp then it's still a mystery/company secret. In spite of all the word of mouth and videos. On the other hand, when I want Allman's clone, I put them all in DA mode, or the Hendrix/Johnson clone, I switch them all to HX. No problem, just dial in a familiar tone and crank it up. Simple and with awesome results every time. That said, it's just that, and my opinion, that as a professional courtesy to the owners of these very expensive top of the PRS product line amps they publish one on the Support Site.
