Not in the pipeline I am sure, but why not!!!

I am a big CU 24 lover, I have had many other models but have always come back to this one. The only negative for me with it is that when playing at the third or fifth fret I always felt the stretch to be a bit too big. Shorter scale lengths (24.5) made soloing up high too tight. In playing the many 594s at M A Pete's house, I feel that this scale is just right! ( yes, eat your heart out, I live 10 mins from him!)

Kind of a proof of this scale being 'just right' is that Pete and I never could agree on guitars before. He was not comfortable with 25" and I was not comfortable with 24.5". Now there is a scale we can agree on swap guitars while jamming.

For me the test was to play the 594 in high A. The differences were sooo small I was totally comfortable.

I have always desired more choices in CU 24s - thicker body and HSH to name a few. C'mon PRS let's have some fun!!!

It would be fantastic if this was an add-on for not just the 594 but all models! They already had the routing options done!

I can appreciate the differences that 25.5" vs 25" vs 24.5" scale lengths might bring.

I must ask, however: I am very curious how someone can feel that 24.6" (which is basically what 24.594" measures out to be, i mean 6 thousandths is not a whole lot!) is that much of a difference from 24.5"? It is less than an eighth of an inch, and that is across the entire scale - so maybe at the third fret your hand is 0.08" (about 5/64") further away than on a 24.5" scale; and individual frets spacing will feel indistinguishable.

But, glad MAPete and you both like it, and it would be interesting to see a 24 fret 24.594" scale guitar...

You would think that these small differences would not meet much but to some it is HUGE ( no pun intended ) my first PRS was a KL33 ( Korena Santana ) 24.5 in scale 24 fret it was killer on frets 1-12 but for me it was tight up high and most 24.5 in scale guitars just feel tight to me ( the way they hang and where your arms are when playing ) I love them for rhythm playing tho .
Since I started life as a Strat guy I was more used to a longer scale but 25.5 was always a long reach for my small hands 25 and 25/1/4 are a blessing but I am told that I will love the 594 :)
the same things come up with neck carves the biggest difference is 1/32 of an inch in any direction it doesn't seem like much but the sure feel different.

@shinksma : What Mike (Rider) said pretty much sums it up. With 24.5 I'm OK low on the neck but beyond 12 it starts to get tight. 25 feels great above 12 as compared to 24.5 but a tad of a spread say in G playing a shuffle. This new scale (for PRS) seems to be the right balance....

No news, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Usually PRS doesn't offer short scale on the 24 fretters aside from the Santana so I'm not confident it's gonna happen. Short scale works better on 22 frets anyways ;):p.

Hopefully for your wishes I'm wrong.
