PRS 509 .09 strings

Just wondering if anyone has tried the PRS 509 with .09 strings? If yes can you please give me some feedback

I run os on everything, including the 509 is used to have. To me, it didn’t sound any different from when it had 10s

I use 009’s on all my PRS’s.. they sound awesome. GHS thin core boomers

Sure.. with lots of bending and vibrato, 10’s just beat up my hands to much. Not worth it in the long run….hell, Billy Gibbons uses 007’s

You’re quite welcome…The thin core Boomers wound strings just have a great feel great for 2 string harmonic bends and really the same output as normal hex core roundwounds

I ran NYXL’s on a drop dead perfect gorgeous 509 that sounded great. The only problem was that the bastid weighed 9.5 pounds, and beat up my back by the third set. Oh, and it wasn’t blue. Some lucky guy bought it from me.
