Hello fellow guitarists,

Bought a PRS CU24 30th anniversary and have experienced tuning problems when using the tremolo bar from day one. I don't do or attempt wild dives. All it takes is for me to push on the bar one time for it to go out of tune. In particular the G and B strings are the most problematic ones.
I'm using 10-46 gauge strings.

I'm frustrated since I hear so many praises for the tuning stability of these instruments - any help will be appreciated.

p.s. how can I upload pictures?

Just google free picture hosting and you should find a site you can upload and ten they'll provide a link for you to post here

You have to upload from a picture hosting site like Photobook, Flickr, etc. Once you upload to whatever site you select you can cut/paste your pics here. Or you can use the image button on the tool bar.

I have the same guitar. Have you had the nut replaced or reslotted for 10`s? 9`s are standard. So the slots may be binding. I insist that a new nut be put on all my guitars when I get them. That`s the single weakness (IMHO) of the SE line.

Yeah, if it's an SE, that would be my first guess, also. If not a new nut, at least file down the nut to allow for the higher gauge strings, to see if that's the problem.

Thank you for the message. The guitar came with 10s so I'm assuming it should have been fitted with the right nut and or for sure tested at the factory. I spoke with Sweetwater and they are going to send me lubricant for the nut.

Thank you for the reply - I will use some lubricant for the nut before I do anything else to it :)
