Hi everyone

I love what I’ve seen/heard about this amp. I want to get one but I live overseas in a small country where there are no PRS dealers. There are some amp repair technicians here but they will have no access to PRS staff.

Would this have stopped any of you from buying one? How hard is it to bias the tubes and do repairs on this amp? Any advice would really be appreciated

Thanks everyone and stay safe out there!

Nah, I'd buy one if I was overseas. Bias is a breeze. Three ports on the back. One Common port, and one bias port for each tube. Service should be easy on it, if any needs to be done. It's loud as hell, too.

Great sounding and very versatile amp. It easily pushes 1x12 or 2x12 Vintage 30's. The sound is pure on both clean and lead channels, which makes it a great choice for adding effects/pedals. Since I don't play much metal, I only use the clean channel and add my own more subtle gain and effects. If you want to scream, the lead channel annihilates any other head in that size range that can also make perfect clean tones. Love my MT15. Biasing and tube changes are both easy. However, I am having some trouble selecting the replacement power tubes. My MT15 is older and came with the Ruby 6L6 short bottle tubes, which sound great, but are no longer available. There are plenty of 6L6/5881 tubes for sale, but being short bottle makes selection a little more complex. For the next month or so, at the expense of my family, employer, and health, I expect all of my waking thoughts will be allocated to selecting tubes, and in the end I'll probably select the JJ 5881 tubes that PRS now uses as OEM. Good luck to you.

Thanks to everybody that responded. I really appreciate your input

I`d buy it. It is not that expensive. I bought mine second hand half a year ago and I am glad I did ... although do check the tubes and how the FX loop works, my FX loop makes a bit of noise, that is an issue with some amps (still have to figure out if I can fix that or just play into the fron of amp), there was also one JJ preamp tube that needed to be changed, but that is all very easy on the wallet.
Biasing is a breeze and it is built like a tank with good quality parts.
It is a beast of an amp that can be used to play several styles of music. Buy it and enjoy it ;)
