Proof of Concept: The Vela Trem

Hey everybody! Thought I'd share my pet project PRS that I've labored on for almost 2 years to get it where it is today. This is my ideal version of the PRS Vela Trem idea talked about by so many. After cutting a new pickguard, swapping pickups, and rewiring the entire guitar, it was time to take this beast to the next level by installing a Non-Fine Tuner Floyd Rose trem! Enjoy

They do, but I wanted to do it my way. I didn't want the VR Vela for a few simple reasons.
1.) I didn't want another gold or black guitar
2.) I didn't like the pickguard designs. I prefer something plainer
3.) I didn't want the full floyd, just the non fine tuner with no locking nut
4.) This was STILL cheaper than buying a VR Vela including all parts, labor, and shipping

Thanks! I'm a big fan of it. Everything works perfectly. It's had the floyd almost a year now with no issues whatsoever. Tuning stability is amazing, still sounds awesome. The Floyd actually tightened up the lows a bit and focused the mids which I like a lot. Even hitting huge open chords really hard with a bit of gain won't muddy things up. It stays nice and clear
