    I think it’s also related to burl not absorbing stain. That wood looks like a mix of densities.

    Another truly stunning batch. Off the charts!!

    I played a PS for the first time on Saturday, and it was amazing. It felt different than my core models. The neck profile was somewhere between Pattern and Pattern Thin. It was closer to Pattern than Pattern Thin, but definitely felt slimmer than a Pattern.

    The frets were different. They looked a little fatter and a little taller.

    This guitar had a tremolo bridge, and THAT BRIDGE!!! Oh my, I REALLY want those PS saddles.

    I honestly expected the guitar to be a really,really pretty core model, but it's not. While not dramatically different, this PS felt different than all of my core models.
