Man, I know I’m late to dinner here... but that has to be the most incredible green finish I have ever seen. Blown away.
Even just one is a sololocococobolo!
Weird, we were just watching Solo on Netflix the other night! Does that make me CukooSololocoCocobolo?!?
Oh. My. God.
Who has this guitar? Who? I REALLY want to know so I can see more pics. And I want to buy it if you're selling!!!!
If f*~+* Photobucket were working, I’d post more pics.
I’m not selling, but thanks for the compliment.
A side story about that neck: I was at the vault picking woods for this guitar. I had assembled all the woods for this build and was very happy with my choices........until I spied this cocobolo blank sitting on the shelf. It was like the heavens opened up and god beams shined down on the holy grail. As I grabbed this incredible sapwood piece off the shelf, I heard those dreaded words from the guardian of the vault, “That’s already been picked, and is not available.”
As the tears started to well up in my eyes, I heard another voice in the vault say, “If you’d like that for your personal build, please take it.” REALLY?!! As it turned out, that fine fellow was accumulating woods for builds for several stores overseas, and he was kind enough to sacrifice this piece to a guy who wanted it for his personal build. Again, thank you kind sir!
I should know better than to scroll through the posts in this area. My wallet just imploded. Such goodness here.
Super lucky or what?!!???
You definitely had some intervention there! Great looking neck.
That’s amazing. I’m a cocobolo nut, and have two custom built acoustics with cocobolo back and sides.
I REALLY would love to see pics, and I am absolutely serious about wanting to purchase if you ever want to sell. I haven’t seen the front, but I already want that guitar ;-)
Saw this one coming!
I think the front is pretty special, too. Maybe WA Paul will be kind enough again to post my 3 amigos SC photo. If so, it’s the burled top one.
I agree about cocobolo and have it on my McManus PS acoustic
The one on the left? Wow!! Piezo too? The knobs look like Strat knobs. Wow, those are all beautiful instruments!!!
Don't want to hijack the thread, but since we're "marking time" until the next batch of PS photos.......
This is the cocobolo on the back of my Alberico baritone:
