That’s some epic tubular quilt! I wanted a top like that for my build (my avatar) but none was available at the time. Whatever color you choose will look great on that!

agreed - the wood chose us when my wife and I were scanning the library... the color will be related to how some other elements come together; fretboard will be a new design along with a couple other details. That grain structure probably needs an edge burst or a glow to best show it off and hold the design together.

Likely to be a toss between a version of dragons breath or a blue-sand glow like iceberg...

Hardwood is everywhere in this thread.

Pernambuco, African Blackwood, Kingwood, Ebony, etc etc...

And most all of the others are considered "hardwood" as well (maple, mahogany, limba, walnut, ash, etc., etc.).
