Are core models within reach? PRS isn’t like certain other large manufacturers that require you to go custom shop (or higher) to get a perfect playing, great sounding instrument. Not sure you can really do better than the tone, playability and fit and finish on PRS’ core models, unless there’s something really specific you need that’s only available through the Private Stock program. To be clear, this isn’t a knock against the Private Stock program (those guys are true artists who can do anything that’s asked of them), only a ringing endorsement regarding how good PRS’ core guitars are.
