That’s an excellent idea! Or figured book-matched ash back with black grain filler...
That would probably look nicer, but my spec would be a more “pure” SC594 with a hog back.
Embryo is at 30 weeks.... will need more wood in March!!!!
Fresh delivery, coming in hot - Happy Friday!
This neck is for Michael Reid's 30 year employee guitar. This will come up later in conversation, so I just want to put a book mark here. Thanks

Great stuff!!!! Really excited to see our Spalted Maple MC594 semi make an appearance. You guys rock. Much love to all of you in PRS land from the Midwest! See you guys in a few weeks
I remember when you posted the wood set for that one...gonna be crazy!!!
Unbelievable work as always...thanks Hunter!
There really is nothing better than opening PSF....and the very first pic is something you’ve been waiting patiently to see...again.
Yup, it's all about that today for this kid.
This is a pretty sweet looking spalted menu board...and I like the specials...
Another killer PSF Hunter! Thanks for the hit!!
Oh yes! Little bit of back story on this one, but we were going to incorporate their gold foil treatment but after seeing the guitar... Definitely passing on that. That top doesn't need any assistance. We'll probably do a short video when it comes in and talk about the specs and lumber selection process, I'll be sure and link it up to the thread.
I hope you guys all enjoy it! This guitar was my first time doing lumber selection in The Vault, so this is a special guitar to me.
I love how it looks like lightning bolts circling that area where the magic happens!
Spill the beans Shawno. Since MR sees every piece before any of the rest of us, why this one? Must be a story.
Congrats on 30 years Mike!
I can't wait to hear the story behind that neck. That's fascinating!
