I have first dibs on an early 2000s Swamp Ash Special in excellent condition. All stock. Tobacco burst. Wide/fat. Tremolo. Abalone dots. Private party transaction. There are only a few for sale so it’s hard to gauge actual selling prices. Two that are on reverb are priced at $2000 and $1,700, but they appear to have been there a while (lots of watchers). So that leads me to ask what a fair price is for one of these. Thanks.

That's what I originally thought too. Seems like the COVID premium is affecting just about every make and model.

I think people are also pushing the price up on swamp ash because it’s being used less and less as it’s not as readily available.

Yep. Fender has saved swamp ash now for special releases because of difficulty obtaining them with that beetle. Which implies a premium on them now when they use to be commonplace. I do not believe these PRS were made when it was considered hard to obtain. Simply a wood they didn’t use commonly.
