Pre ammp/DI for HB II Piezo

I am looking for a DI for use with a Fender Acoustisonic 90 amp. Guitars are 3 Taylors, a Larrivee and a PRS Hollowbody II with a piezo. I want a DI that I can use with the acoustics and the PRS HB II. Emphasis on the HB II. have used Google-fu until I’m bleary eyed and the current list of nominees are:

Fishman Aura Spectrum DI Imaging Pedal with DI

Fishman Platinum Pro EQ/DI Analog Preamp

LR Baggs Venue DI Acoustic Preamp EQ/DI/Tuner


I don’t have clear picture of what the differences are between the Fishman Aura and the Platinum Pro. Once that gets figured out I’m then into the Fishman vs Baggs question.


I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

Have previously had an Aura Spectrum and LR Baggs Para DI for my HBII. Of those I preferred the Aura Spectrum for simplicity and because I thought the images added enough fullness to make the piezo useful.

However, I’ve gone to just using a second signal path on my Helix and it’s been good enough for live play so I sold both the others.
