The last week (Since getting my first PRS, singlecut SE and then quitting the Pot) I have been happily practicing and jamming way more. Practicing modes and scales and jamming useful riffs. My band that I lead (on guitar) is called The Twisted Toneados. We play blues, funk, Latin rock, country rock and some general classic oldies from the 60's and 70's with a few 50's tossed in. I use a Roland BC30 Blues cube amp. No pedals. Although I occasionally buy one, try it, and trade or sell it later. We recently played a Blues Festival on Texada Island Sunshine Coast BC Canada. Last act of the festival there are 4 videos on my youtube. (search Dennis Fox) and I'm playing the PRS. I also made a guitar demo video to show off the PRS guitar and my hack playing. (My bass skills are more refined from almost 50 years of concentrating on that) Guitar is something that while I had lessons in 1967 from my stepdad on his 57 Strat, I didnt really try hard to play guitar until 20 years ago. I almost always had an acoustic guitar though. Enjoying the forum. One more post and picture links will go up. The cherry finish is so dark it'll be photos in bright sunlight to see the flame veneer. Cheers! (PS. I quit drinking and cigarettes 14 years ago) Pension money's not the greatest.

Yes. was chronic. eighth a day easy. Gasping in the mornings with low oxygen tingles and panic. Every morning the last few years worse and worse. Decades on cigs till got married 14 years ago. The booze was easy to let go. In this music business I seldom paid for beer. The places I played was giving it to us. One jam i hosted for 2 years the beer was unlimited for me part of the deal. Easy to drink too much with that! Don't give me Kahlua!

Congratulations on quitting weed (and booze)! Addiction is a hell of a thing, and most folks don't understand it if they haven't had to deal with it directly. Keep it up!

After bass for over 20 years, and now picking the electric up again, I’m finding that a bass player thinks a LOT different from an electric player.
