OK. You are my go to guys since I've started playing again etc.

What practice unit do you guys use or recommend? I saw rhe or kept pod but lacks some features I'd like.

Must have feature:
Headphones jack
Aux in jack
Drum track. Bass tracks a plus.

Would love to have a loop function built in. Can buy a separate loop pedal of needed.

Digitech RP360xp is what I use for all of the above. Aux in has to happen via USB though, as there isn't a 1/8" jack

Check out the DigiTech Trio+ Band Creator and Looper.
It has everything you're lookzing for.
Bass, drums, aux, headphone jack, looper...

Since my computer is permanently hooked up to a pair of speakers, I use Audacity. You can slow things down, loop whatever points you want. That doesn't cover all your bases, but a lot of musicians are already set up with a computer in their recording space, why not utilize it? I have Cubase and Absolut Drummer (or something), so I could add drums and synth backing tracks if I want, but I'm trying to learn pieces like the theme to Westworld, so I usually just play along with the original.

YouTube has this neat feature wherein you can half-speed play any video back. I use that a lot.

I have had a couple of modellers (mustang and THR10c) but for my 10p worth, the blackstar fly3 stereo was bestest cheapest, so would recommend having a look in their range as its expanded, and to use a TC ditto looper pedal too

(you can run anything in from a laptop/pc to one of these various wee modeller amps ie audio/metronome/youtube/guitartabs/guitarpro6

I use the fly3 as laptop speakers and plug in guitar to that, when on the road, the tube amp is at home.

I use a Boss RC 30 looper (it has 2 tracks) & create my own tracks to play over - Usually I put down bass and rhythm guitar or keyboards (using an EXH B9 or K9 pedal). I use headphones as well to keep the peace..............I have learned a lot about music from learning to to really use a looper.
