The PRS tech folks specifically told me not to run KT77s, so I don't imagine 88s or 6550s would work, either. EL34s work fine, but you may have to swap the two fast-blo fuses on the right (looking from the back of the amp) for slo-blos. (I did.)
I liked it a lot at first, as I'm typically an EL34-amp guy. After a while, though, I decided that the Archon was voiced so as to sound best with 6L6s, and I switched back to them. I'd love to try KT77s, but again, PRS oddly advised against it.
