Pots not working correctly

I just installed a pair of 59/09 PUs and I'm having issues with my pots. They are brand new, 920D package with B500K for volume and A500K for tone. Both are quiet until they get to 80%. Does this sound familiar to anyone. Thanks in advance for solutions

Check your ground wires. Take a multimeter set it to "Continuity" and start checking all the ground points for continuity - all the ground should "connect", including the pot bodies/cases. It's possible you have a cold solder joint on one of the pots.

Thank you for reply. I did check all ground connection & found everything in order. While the electronics area was open, I plugged the guitar in to a small practice amp & boom, there was no problems. Thinking I cleared the issue, I put the guitar into my stage setup, & whoa, back to square one. It turns out the cable from the guitar to my pedal board was the culprit. After 11 years of stepping on the guy, it was slowly breaking down. Again, thanks for your input.
