Popping selector switch

Hi chaps. I have a brand new 2016 Custom 24 and I have noticed that if I am not playing and switch pick ups it makes a pop sound. It only happens when I switch from position one to two and from five to four. All other selections are silent. What could be causing this? Many thanks

I have a 2014 Custom 24 semi-hollow that does the same thing. And depending on the volume of the amp and mix of pedals that pop can be quite loud. It's my only complaint about the guitar, everything else about it I just love. But it does cause me to switch pickup selections a lot less than I normally would... I tend to just stay on the bridge pickup.
