Reason for this post is to look back on the past 5 years of amp ownership, and how our tastes in music / amps have progressed gradually within the stream of time...

Here are mine, beginning with a 2009 kept beyond 2013:

Ah, the new addition! Seems like you've got 6 amps for the price of 1, there, Les! 6 separate channels, all I/O switchable...have you given the amp her maiden voyage, yet?

I’ve run it through the cabs I’ve got - pretty sweet! Works exactly as advertised. Does some vintage things, does some Mesa-ish things.

I’m still undecided on getting a cab or a switching system for the cabs I’ve got. But there’s certainly no hurry.

My all time Go to amp is a Marshall 6100. By far my all time amp.

Went through a low watt phase for a while. So I got all the Marshall 1 watters.

Then back to 100 Watts.

then it was the flavor of the month for a while.

Then the 5153.

Then My Marshall again.

Holy cats that's a lot of amps and cabs!

You could run your own S.I.R.

Living in a senior housing apartment I think I'd be ushered out by popular demand if I owned the sheer number with the volume of amps @matt3310 casually collects. I'd have no place to put my feet up!

Matt, have you taken out insurance on all this, and notified the neighbors when you plan a backyard cookout? You could literally shake loose the neighbors' wallboard, windows and decor with even a portion of your massive armory there.

For investment sake and sentimental value, I understand the reason why people collect. The feasibility of wielding such firepower I do not. Perhaps when you're 60 years old and have not gone too far Canadian I'll understand this.

(Kudos on the cool fisheye images, though, awesome job with the photo lens.)

I don't take pics of amps. In the words of the great S.dB., "you don't look cool in front of the mirror wearin' an amp around your neck!"

Here's my list though:

MkV (sold to DTR)
Archon 25w combo (traded in on the HXDA)
HXDA (sold to Toothace)
Archon 50w head (still have this one.....keeper)
Custom 50 (traded for '95 CE24)
Kemper (sold when I got option paralysis)
DG30 (traded to Rider1260 who traded it to Sergio)
Bogner Atma (sold to JFB who moved it on to Tosca)
MT-15 (sold to CME in the Great Sell Off)
Atomic Amplifire 12 (still have this....keeper)

I'm set with the AA12 for low volume (and loud when I can) and the Archon. Don't foresee any changes.

Les' space looks so amazing. This is something I aspire to.

It's neat and tidy, well-organized, and not crowded.

If we all had the extra room in our own living spaces, I think we'd all find a place for our stuff like Les has. Sometimes we've just got to make do with what we already have.

(And yes, Les' room is awesome) :)
