In the early days after the original PRS Forum more or less was replaced by TGP I posted there a lot.
The owners, Scott and Brian (who also started and owned the original PRS Forum), became pretty good friends. As a result of TGP I was lucky to communicate with other professionals in the industry, including incredible and well-known players I hired for sessions and worked with for years (up to the present).
I always thought it was a great site. I have no idea who the current mods are.
I was turned on to lots of great gear, including my Two-Rocks, Bogner, Bad Cat, Roccaforte, etc., by people who posted on TGP. So there's that as well. It was valuable info.
I feel fortunate to have developed solid friendships there and here.
Since this Forum started I've posted here instead, mostly because my interests gradually turned PRS-centric. I haven't posted on TGP in many years.
It's not that I don't like TGP. It's kind of become sprawling and often random, but that happens when you're an internet magnet.
I had my own forum for a minute and might do it again, but one thing I learned is that sometimes it's a little too easy to get pissed off and go overboard trying to mod a forum. There's a fine line between "too loose" and "too tightly controlled," and one gains wisdom over time - but after the fact.
