Pleasant (I think) surprise when diagnosing ground issue

So, my new-to-me Archtop II has a slight buzzing (ground) issue I started a thread about in the PTC forum. Today I thought I would investigate and much to my surprise, the Archtop doesn't have Archtop pickups, not even McCarty pickups. It has 53/10's in it! I didn't know those were available for retail, but I haven't been keeping up with all the PRS pickups recently. Anyway, still investigating the buzz. Its funny, I was trying to justify sending the Archtop to PTC to fix the buzz, but didn't want to go to that expense for simply that. So I thought a pickup change might be in order to justify sending it to Maryland. I haven't played it a lot yet, so its hard to know if I'll like the 53/10's. We will see....

You will heavily regret it if you sell those pickups. I promise.

Even if you swap out the pickups, I would hold onto those. They're rare, sought-after, not-available-to-the-public, and excellent.

I've been able to spend a bit more time with the guitar since I fixed the ground issue. I don't think the pups are going anywhere...

I figured once you played them you would feel that way. I put a set in a mahogany ce22.

I wouldn't mind a set for my McCarty.
