It seems so obvious. I like songs in different tunings. I have guitars in different tunings. I like to play along with songs. It is difficult to remember which song is in which tuning. Playlists exist.

It’s like all the pieces were there in front of me, but I never saw it. Please say I’m not the only one..

I recently did something similar - you're not alone!

I’ve been doing it for a long time: #1 PRS in standard, #2 Strat in Eb, #3 Taylor T5Z in dadgad, according to set list. Some nights it’s just 2 guitars, and different set list, but for bigger shows it’s always the 3. I thought I was alone, too..

I am with you! I play along with songs all the time and started using playlist by tuning a couple of years ago. I also use a DAW to re-pitch songs. For example I have playlists in E Standard and D Standard, with many of the same songs just re-pitched. Technology these days is amazing. If I would have had half of this stuff in my 20's I would not have stopped playing for ~15 yrs!

It’s true, the tools that are available to us nowadays are straight up ridiculous compared to when I started playing.
