Played an sE paul’s guitar today

Mozzi, do you think the coil split on the Paul's would ruin the sustain on the Santana? I have one and man those things sing like I have never heard before.

I doubt it - its probably more that Santana doesn't want or have it on his Core version. He supposedly heard the TCI humbuckers and requested them for his SE signature but without the split. It could be 'financial' but that would be the cynic in me making that assumption...
