this was taken with phone so not greatest but pics of the PRS family in our house. Left- 2012 P22 in black gold wrap around 53/10 pups center- just landed here last Thursday. NEW 2014 S2 Singlecut in Antique White. All stock for now. Right- my boys SE Singlecut in cherry modded with USA HFS/Vintage pups and USA drop in electronics with push pull tone for coil tap. USA Lampshade knobs. Also Schaller Locking tuners.

The S2 singlecut really rings! better than the SE unplugged. reason being SE has plated bridge and plated steal studs and steal bushings on tuners. the S2 uses a polished machined aluminum( not nickel or chrome plated just polished) bridge and brass studs with brass bushings on the tuners. This all makes for sweet string to body transfer.

Nice family leesam!

Judging by everything I've read, seen and we've discussed out here, I also have to think that the wood quality / drying process on the S2s also contribute. SEs are great but I have not seen any evidence that they handle the wood in the same manner as they do in MD.

I keep seeing all of these white S2s and I think they look fabulous. I think whatever S2 semi I choose is going to be white...

Beautiful!

I think the S2 probably also sounds a bit better because of the woods used in the guitar's construction. You'd sure hear that before you'd hear the differences in plating.

I will disagree. While I'm sure the better woods contribute, I did notice an almost dramatic change in the tone and sustain of my S2 when I ripped out the SE trem and put the Mann trem on.

thanks all. the White is absolutely killer. pics do not do it justice! Yes I also believe the wood is better too as far as drying process etc. the guitar resonates VERY similar to my p22. now the P22 and S2 both have same "profile" but I swear it feels closer to the wide fat on the SE. it is a tad chunkier especially up the fret board. #7s are definitely hotter than the 53/10s will say though that the SE with the USA electronics in it screams quite well too! It`s a rock machine!

Carl you will LOVE the white!
