Hey all,

My first post in a looong time! I have a Tremonti SE Custom and took my first crack at swapping out the 3-way Pup selector as the head of the knob had broken off. Everything seemed to go off with out any problems until i plugged it in and started playing.

The bridge pickup sounds fine. The neck pickup however sounds very muffled and it has a very noticeable volume change when it goes from around 8 to 9 on the dial. Selecting both pups also sounds super muffled.

As this is my first wiring job i'm guessing i muffed something up but was hoping to get some advice from more experienced folks on what it might be and what i could check / do to fix the issue. I'd really like to figure this out on my own instead of having to take it to a tech but if have to i will :(

Got the URL's but can't seem to embed the image. Every time i try i just end up with it saying [ IMG ]

Did you do Imgur? If so, when you open a pic in Imgur there are 4 or 5 buttons on the right. Just click on the one call BB Code. Then go to your post and right click paste.

I can see the pics in these links. I think it looks like you have the green and red wires reversed. On this before shot, it looks like green is on top, and red is on the bottom.

The after looks like the opposite?

Of course, I may be cross eyed looking at the pics, too.

No i think you are correct because when i put the switch up it's selecting the bridge instead of the neck and visa versa. However, that wouldn't cause the other issues i'm hearing would it?
