Pickup Rings

It used to be that stoptails got angled rings, and trems got flat rings. For example, my 05 CU22 with trem has flat rings, and my old 03 McCarty had angled rings.

On the PRS store they have only one set and you cannot specify whether you want flat or angled. Can anyone please tell me if they stopped differentiating? I see "universal" on the packages on ebay. Are they all flat now, or all angled?

I emailed PRS Customer service five days ago and got no response.

I recently ordered some custom rosewood pickup rings for my 2012 Custom 24, and to my surprise they do have a slight taper for the new bobbins. My Custom 22 has flat rings...so I'm assuming they only make the slightly tapered / slanted pickup rings now.

I always wondered whether the Ring of the Nibelungen was flat or slanted. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to ask Wagner, who was always busy chasing skirts.
