The top shows better with the black rings. I thought the white/cream distracted from the look of the guitar.

Yep they look cool but were the rings actually white or were they cream? I didn't like the cream ones myself at one time but I've warmed to them since I was told that the cream colour (not the white) was meant to look old, I have them on an LP and an SE Custom. The original natural colour for that type of plastic before today's fancy polymers was similar to the cream we see today.

They are white but they remind me of cream in a bowl, maybe vintage white is the exact color? I can put them on a sheet of paper and see how white is white I guess.

No, that's ok, it's just that the originals do look very white as opposed to cream in the pic and I would have had to change them as well.

Thanks all. I've got those rings if anyone wants em - also some black bottom/clear top knobs that I ordered and the original knobs look better. Pics if warranted.

I changed all my crème plastic rings to wooden ebony rings, the black looks far better!
