I realize I'm asking the impossible but I just got pickups off of ebay that are supposed to be dragon 1s. I'm not so sure so I'm asking for help. These don't look like the dragon 1s I have in my drawer. These used to have a label on them but all I can see is glue residue. They have tape around the pickups not cloth. There's no PRS anywhere on the pickups. They have red, black and white wires. I don't have my multi meter tonight but I will get a reading on these, that should help.

I have asked the seller what guitar these came out of so I will wait and see what he says.

Any ideas????

I have some pics of the pickups in question if anybody can help.

Forgot to bring meter home.

I have never seen dragon 1 pickups. you say you have a set and these do not look like them. I would return to seller if he can not show proof of item authenticity.

I do have a set of Dragon 1's and I don't remember if there is the engraved PRS on the back or not, but they do have the sticker. I don't think what you have are PRS pups but I could be wrong.

I just checked my '95 has Dragon 1's with the PRS engraving in the back. Yours looks suspect.

Seller can't tell me what guitar these came out of because he simply doesn't know.

He claims that through communications with PRS it was determined they are early pickups but maybe not dragon 1s even though they were listed as such.

I'm sending a guitar to PTC so I may send these pickups along so prs can determine if they are real.

They look a little like these. They come from an 88 CE24 but they were in quite a few models. They could be old unmarked T&B's or they are Vintage's if they are PRS.

I was wondering about this but I wanted to hear it from somebody that knew more about them.

So AP515, what are the pickups in your pics? I don't know anything about the vintage puckups. Are they desirable?
