Pickup problems in a PRS SE Angelus Standard

Hi guys

This is may first post, so be gentle ;-) Recently I aquired an Angelus Standard, but it was only yesterday I saw the problem. My tuner is working 2% of the time, and the pickup gives no sound at all. I've removed the bonesaddle, but can't see any problem underneath. Is this a common problem, or am I just unlucky? Are there anything I haven't thought of? Of course the battery works, and all the basics. The tuner blinks alternately between right and left, but that's all I get.

I had an acoustic guitar had the same issue when new. I assumed the pickup was bad but the store replaced the guitar instead of having it repaired and returned to me so I never did find out the issue. Thought I liked the replacement till I played it more and always wished they fixed the original guitar as that one felt better to me.
