Not sure if this is the right spot or not, but here goes....

I have a Core Paul's that is a great playing and sounding instrument. But the balance between the two pickups is quite noticeable, the neck pu is much louder than the bridge. My question is, what is the best way to even out the volume of the two pickups; lower the neck, raise the bridge; raise the neck, lower the bridge, or something else???

Thanks

Closer is louder, farther away is quieter. Going farther away will also bring a little more air into the tone and mellow it a little.

There is no right or wrong answer. Our ears hear things different than others.

I lower both pickups all the way down to the pickup ring. Lower and raise by 1/4, 1/2, or full turns until it sounds best to my ears. Rinse and repeat until both are balanced or the desired sound in positions.

I always loved my PG pickups close to the strings. the coil tap sounds are unreal good through a Marshall type circuit. Vox even better.

FWIW, my core Paul's Guitar (a '14) is very balanced in that respect, and it's the Singlecuts that are out of whack in my experience.
