Pickup covers - Dragon II vs 59/09

hey guys

I'm pretty sure this may have been covered in some older posts but - I'm looking into buying a nickel covered 59/09 pickup that's being advertised recently online. I have a gold covered dragon II set in my custom 22.

Will I be able to swap the nickel cover on the 59/09 and change it to match the gold looks or do i have to buy a gold one? I almost bought a square bobbins one only to find out this cannot be equipped with a cover and there's almost no 59/09 with a gold cover. If any if you have one for sale, let me know.

Swapping covers involves some serious soldering skills not to make it a rather big mess.

I would practice on something cheap before I attempted on something like a gold-cover PRS.

I’ve installed and removed covers. These videos from Fralin and Mojotone say it all. Take a look at these before you try it and remember they have experience and make it look easy.
