I've been periodically tweaking the neck pickup on my Tremonti. It's got a very creamy sound to it, but it lacks a bit of bite in the treble ranges. Not that I'm looking for it to have bridge pickup-level trebles, but I want a bit more than I'm getting. I'm thinking it may be worthwhile to adjust the pole pieces. This is my question - am I better off starting by lowering the bass-site pole pieces or raising the treble side? I'm thinking in terms of dialing out vs. dialing in, but I'm not sure which approach is better to start with. Thoughts?
