Pick up covers/installation?

I recently bought a 2021 PRS SE custom 24. I want to put nickel pick up covers over the double black bobbins. Can this be done while Pickups remain wired to potentiometers? Or is there enough slack to do the job on top of the guitar, if the guitar is properly covered and protected while soldering.? Thank you Steve

It's been a while since I was in a stock se, but I want to say there is extra wire zip tied in the control cavity. Remove the back plate and check.

Thank you, very much appreciated. Don’t ask me why, but I don’t think I would’ve taken the back plate off. I would’ve unscrewed the pick up and pulled on by the wire to see if it would slide some slack through. But if there’s zip tied it wouldn’t. Let’s hope they are, thanks again Steve
