You likely remember Laugh-In, then. My parents only allowed us kids to briefly watch on the way from the kitchen up to bed. Said it was "adult humor" we wouldn't understand.

F-Troop, Beverly Hillbillies, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Mr. Ed, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, some of these nuggets still air on TV Land or our OTA comedy channel.

Lot of it back then was cutting-edge stuff coping with issues of the day. You can still glean the message sometimes...
