Nope, but very close indeed!
This is indeed Vancouver English Bay/Kitsilano Beach area, near the Maritime museum and Vanier Park. I rode around Granville Island and then did all the beaches going west and back.
Great ride, and the scenery was excellent... ahem...

We're starting monsoon season here. This is a photo from our roof, facing south. Although the wind was blowing in my face the angle of the rain looked like it wouldn't make it to our house. Within several minutes I learned you should always listen to the wind.
