Photos, let's see 'em

Yes it is! I didn't know it at the time though, I just thought it was a cool shot of an old cabin that had the Tetons in the background.

This guy has some really neat pics of the cabin:

I’ve photographed it quite a bit. I’ll see if I can find some of my old ones. Mine were slides was before digital, and my filing system is really lacking.

I am dismayed at how much that cabin has deteriorated over the past 30-40 years. I don’t remember the roof being gone.

There's your color name - 9AM Shawn. I guess you could go 9AM Sky if you don't want to be immortalized.
Shawn Fade? Shawn Burst? Stormy Sky? Thanks, I'll be here all week, don't forget to tip your waitress. Try the veal...

Either way, those colors would be really cool on a PRS...

Ooh, please do! I'd love to see them!

It's a crying shame that more wasn't done to preserve them after the National Park Service acquired them. I get not wanting to alter what was already there, but simple upkeep would have guarranteed they'd be around for generations to come instead of leaving them to rot in the elements.

Same place as the last, the cabin is just out of shot to the right.

There is a "museum", for lack of a better word, in Cody Wyoming called Old Trail Town. They gather historic old buildings from throughout the west and relocate them to what looks like an old cowboy town. It's actually pretty cool place, although I haven't been there in years. If you're ever in that neighborhood, I highly recommend it, along with the Buffalo Bill Center which houses the Plains Indian Museum among other noticeable treasures.

We stayed a night in Cody on the way home after Yellowstone and visited the Buffalo Bill Center, but somehow we missed the Old Trail Town-not really surprising, we were all pretty fried by that point. I'll have to add that to the bucketlist as well. Hey, if you ever leave PRS, you could become a travel guide...Shawn's Sightseeing Tours of America™

Yeah, I've seen a lot of the country during my time on the lamb. I finally settled down and changed my name from DB Cooper. :)

Ironically, we stayed in Cody on the way into Yellowstone. That passage through the Bear Tooth Mountains is one of the most amazing drives I’ve ever taken.
