Photos, let's see 'em

I'm a railroad fan, model railroader in mostly 'N' scale, but also have HO sets for the 'N' scale, the crowning jewel of my collection is the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 steam locomotive which set me back $500. Today, the real 4014 was on a weekend display stop about 70 miles west of me. As these are the end all be all for me, I made the trip. If you know anything on the history of these, they are engineering marvels and just beautiful, magnificent beasts.

This is a shot of the front end....
What a glorious machine! Thanks for sharing!! Throw us a pick of your 'N' scale 4014 as well ;~))

This is all I have right now, everything is pretty much packed up including my gear for mega-purging. But here he is, sound, smokes, the whole shootin' match.

Sorry if you had to dig to pull that out! I forgot that you had said things were pretty packed up right now, my bad!! That thing is glorious though ;~)) To actually have been able to see the real one live as well is cool as Tuck (did I spell that right?)!!! Thanks for pulling that puppy out and sharing with us, hopefully we will one day see it in service ;~))

A couple from summer travels.
Toured one of the more famous homes around

One of my wife's friends came to visit this past week. We spent a couple of those days taking her around the state.
Went up to Grand Canyon for the day yesterday.
Great weather, temps in the low 70s.

Just a couple simple phone shots.

Wonderful shots! Thanks for sharing!! Truly GRAND!!!

Got some of the photos from our last race rounds. Profile shoot photos aren't ready yet, but compared to the evening prior when the sky totally opened up and poured, this was fantastic, and the rain held off for the races too. Win/win on the whole weekend. Should have the profile shots by Saturday according to Anett, really looking forward to that.
I did not know 747's came in a single seat arrangement! Or is that the Air Force One escape pod? Great pix, thanks for sharing, looking forward to the profile pix ;~))

Took the number based on certain similarities I have with said Boeing. 1: older 2: heavy 3: still reasonably fast and can still carry the load. 🤣
I actually wanted on of my old sports team #'s but they were taken. #10 was my fastball team #, #31 was my hockey # right from minor hockey all the way through junior, intermediate/senior and old timers.
Hard for me to believe I haven't played either game in over 30 years. And the last time I played hockey was one of the same reasons I gave it up in the first place...a trip to the ER for some x-rays that really weren't good news. Herself wasn't impressed. Her: "Are you really sure about this?" Me: "Meh, it's a fun game with the guys and they really need a goalie or they have to cancel the game. I was fine last night in our (Intermediate) Team Alumni game against the Oilers Alumni (yes, the Edmonton Oilers). What could possibly happen?"
Nothing another knee surgery didn't fix. Was pretty chilly in the house for a while...:(

More visitors to the pasture! This time, 6 cows from the grazing fields across the road!! Only 5 in this picture, but I used this pic because 4 of them are lined up like they are eating at a trough (and they are not, just a grassy pasture)!!! Pretty boring, but it was a surprise for me as my girl and I were getting ready to leave the house and did not want to leave until we resolved getting them home safe. Lucky for us, some nearby horse guys corralled them with their pickups and we split for the concert! Made for an interesting rush before heading out for the evening!

Bovines can be pretty "pig headed" when they want to be...

So as promised, a few of the profile pics. The clear skies and sunny late afternoon was a blessing after all the wildfire smoke this summer. And it was warm after the downpour Saturday night that postponed my photos. Some of the peeps Anett had lined up braved the rain anyway and got gloriously soaked in the process. But they were dressed in race gear or one of the guy's gal was all dolled up in an evening dress while he was in a race suit. She got drenched! I wasn't subjecting my guitar to that so held off and hoped for the best. Good choice I think.

Great shots! Thanks for sharing!!

I took a spin on the Goldwing last weekend and took the Nikon to shoot some of the fall colors. Unfortunately I can't find the plug-in for the computer to download the photos I took. Stupid new computer had no card slot, only a USB for a card peripheral. WTH is with that anyway? but on one of my trips to town AI did get a shot of the river valley and downtown frontage with my phone. Now we don't get the wonderful reds and purples (very few maples and other such colorful deciduous trees) like down east, but if you catch the right day it is still very pretty. Good thing I did too, the last two days have been very gusty and windy and the leaves are about half gone already. Ach, winter cometh...😭

SP2? Can't tell. Killer ride, Sir.

Nothing beats a sport V-twin!
