deep in the raspberry...
Well, sadly for Baltimore, the Ravens are both beat up and out of it. That leaves us rooting for whomever is playing Pittsburgh.

Congrats Seahawks (and Corey) !

Gah, football. I live in Michigan... it's a wonder I don't suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder just because of the snow, so I don't even pay attention to the Lions.

Congrats Seahawks? Bah! That was seriously Pittsburgh game to lose...and they did. I still can't figure out what happened in the fourth to them....

I'll watch them on Thursday because it should be a good game. But I don't pay them much attention either ;-)

As a transplanted Hoosier living in Arkansas sometimes I get the Colts games but I always get the Bronco's games to root for Peyton, when he can play...

Thanks!
Seahawks started out lousy this year, but are making a comeback despite key players getting injured.

rugerpc,

Thank you! One of my favorite subjects!

First of all, I'm sorry Tony Romo got hurt again. I despise The Cowboys to a degree that's hard to put into words, but I feel for him. In his statement after the game the other day he just seemed defeated. Tired, hurt, dejected... Lost. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he retired after this season.

The Texas Longhorns lost :(, but The Redskins won :). Sharing first place in their division with a 5-6 record shows just what shape the NFC East is in this year.

The Denver/Patriots game last night was a doozie! I didn't have a dog in the fight, but what a game. And that Denver QB (Brock Osweiler) seems like such a decent, humble, genuine, deserving guy. I think it's nice to hear a pro player conduct himself in such an honorable way.

Tough loss for the Pats last night...I think they got hosed on some calls (and non-calls). If Gronk is out Brady might be throwing to the cheerleaders next week... Congrats to the Broncos...let's see what they do if Osweiler keeps winning until Manning comes back:confused:

At least most of you are routing for a team with a chance. I am a San Diego Charger fan. At least they won yesterday..............................My condolences to the Ravens fans (but I am feeling your pain).

Woo Panthers! As a long time fan, it's nice to see us finally have some success. I've been through some tough seasons but loyalty has finally paid off. I can honestly say that no matter what happens in post season, I've thoroughly enjoyed watching them play and will continue to cheer them on!

Kinda irritated with the Packers... WTF is happening with them, I don't know. Not even worth my time away from playing instruments to watch them anymore.

I have been and will be a fan for life, but I'm tired of watching losers, lol.

As a Michigan fan, I'm still dealing with the rather crushing loss to Ohio State. Again.

Though, congrats OSU fans! :bawling:

Thanks Les! But we're still licking our wounds after our horrible performance last week. That horrible weather played right into Michigan State's hands. Our speed and passing game was nullified and they just loaded the box and dared us to run. Last year they were talking about this year's team should be better than last, and a possible 3-4 year run. One loss late, and you're done in college football. Lost one early and you can fight back. Now, we'd need at least 3 of the top 5 teams to lose in order to get into the playoff. I'm glad they finally did it, but it needs to be expanded at least one bracket (to 8 teams) and everyone drop one regular season game against a patsy team.

On a positive note, Go Bengals!

HERE WE GO STEELERS....HERE WE GO!

I'll stick up for MY Steelers! If they had a secondary, they'd be scary good. As it is, the offense will be potent for years to come. They'll put up 30 every week and keep their fingers crossed that the D doesn't get torched for 31. Great game against Seattle. Disappointed by the outcome, but it was a good game (mostly). I'll add that the officiating was terrible, but that seems to be the case these days in most games. Too bad.

Time to sit back and see what MY Hawkeyes can do against Michigan State this weekend. I'd be surprised with a win. Heck, I've been surprised by them all season. Not flashy, but getting it done with smart play and solid team work.

I second that. I was watching that Steelers game, and I couldn't believe some of the non-calls. A flagrant helmet-to-helmet hit on a QB that ended up giving him a possible concussion, and no flag?!? I guess the problem was that Ben wasn't prone on the field long enough!

Michigan State...we had a last minute WTF Just Happened? loss to them, too. Luckiest team on Earth, as far as I'm concerned, though my daughter's super-great boyfriend is an MSU fanatic. So at least someone's happy this year - though I did rib him about getting a WTF Just Happened? payback at Nebraska. :flute:

On Saturday though, it became very clear that Michigan is a year or so away from competing on a championship level like Ohio State does on a good day.

I think Harbaugh will get them there, but he needs the horses to play his brand of football. Fortunately, he's recruiting on par with Urbs, so future games should be more competitive. You've gotta give credit to MSU though, they've certainly changed the landscape of the Big Ten. Dantonio is a heck of a coach.

I do think Harbaugh did something special taking last year's 5-7 team to 9-3 this year with mostly the same players, including winning all of his Big Ten road games. But it's still very much a work in progress. There's a lot of ground to make up.

Thanks Les. It's a shame the coaching staff puckered for us against MSU.......
