Philip Seymour Hoffman RIP

Unfortunately another one fallen to heroin. Yeah, he was good in a lot of different rolls.

He was great in Boogie Nights.

All I can think of is the scene in the car when he calls himself a f@ckin' idiot over an over...

even in Twister his part was small but memorable. So sad to see another one lost to drugs.....

holy crap! was he 'Dusty'? I forgot about that.

He was awesome in Cold Mountain but then again the entire case was unbelievable in that film.

Sad so young.

I've seen a lot of movies named that I'd forgotten he was in - like Boogie Nights. My first thought was him playing the sleazy reporter in Red Dragon.

Another talent gone way too soon.

Let us not forget "The Big Lebowski."

He, like the rug, really tied the room together...very sad. Only slightly older than me. Makes one think. RIP.

It is a sad situation when you put a needle in your arm or a glass pipe in your mouth and think you'll be the one who can do it and not become addicted. I have a family member who thought the same and was wrong, lost everything, graduated top in his class in engineering has / had a beautifull wife and 2 kids. Been through rehab at least 5 times and tried the NA thing, I wish him the best of luck now as I have done all that I can monetarily and pyscologically. he just did a 3 month stint in rehab, basically to get out of jail. Maybe it will work this time for all of our sakes, he and his family especially. Another sad example of how drugs can be a very bad thing. RIP Phil you were a great actor.
