Hey Guys,
Recently when changing the strings on my new USA Custom 24, I noticed that the D and A string tuner bushings were not flush against the headstock. About 1/64" up on one side of the bushing on each. I never noticed this before as I have only had the guitar for a month now since new. Is this a simple fix? I purchased a Stew-Mac tuner bushing press tool hoping this will fix the issue? My plan once the tool comes in the mail is to remove the strings, remove the tuners, and use the bushing press to push the bushing flush against the headstock. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else? With these bushings not being flush against the guitar for what I assume since it rolled off the factory floor, does this damage the guitar in any way? I really don't want to send my guitar into the PTC for the third time this year since owning it for a small issue like this. Thanks!
