What else can you call them? You know, those opaque/solid color PRS that have maple tops peeking out from underneath.. There's just something so provocative and sexy about the almost puritanical subversiveness of these guitars,,a hint of décolletage...Feelin' all naughty wondering what's underneath that burqa.. I think they're pretty dope.

Whether it's a gold top with flamey faux binging or the new-ish white DGT's maple top just barely showing the butt-cheeks like a pair of hot pants, I wish there were more of these in my life. Who has one, or wants one?

Yeah, we share this weakness, too. Thats the only thing I wish Mr. Clean had. But wait...there could be a Mrs. Clean. Hmm...

I saw a seafoam green prs on ebay with the maple binding. I don't care for that color but I remember thinking it would look very nice with flame maple pickup rings.

Makes me wanna break out in a...

I agree. I love opaque PRSi but that natural faux binding is a must. There aren't any decent shots of the peek-a-boo lines on mine, I should take some.

Peek a boo top..ok I thought this thread was going in a totally different direction.

I love all of the above....

The only thing I want more than anything is a black top/natural back with the maple top showing, like that goldtop 12 string, only black.

Here's a story, Experience '13 came up, PRS posted a ton of photos on Facebook, one is of the only black top PRS I had ever seen. Sweetwater was able to track it down for me and tell me the specs, it's a 408 trem with a pattern neck, and the rep there assured me it was in fact a black top. I get all moist and gooey, but have to turn them down due to the $3K price tag and not having anywhere near that kind of dough available, and no way to raise it quickly.

Fast forward. Dave's posts a bunch of prototypes in their used section just a couple weeks ago. Lo and Behold, there's the black top I saw on Facebook, only they're saying it was a violet top. Sure enough, it's the same guitar, same serial number, but thanks to Dave's superior photography, it is indeed a very dark transparent violet top PRS, not a black top. Bullet dodged. I would have been pretty upset to lay out that kind of cash and get a purple guitar special order, no returns and all that.

Looking back at this photo, I can kind of tell it's purple if I look at it at and angle to my monitor, but straight on it looks black.

I saw this one at experience 2013 and before I knew what kind of killer deals you could get there it was gone. Love it though!!!
