Hi all.....

I checked around here and also YouTube, but couldn't really find what I'm looking for .....

I'm curious if anyone here has had a chance to compare the bridge pickup of a Paul's Guitar and/or Brushstroke24 to that of a CU22 or CU24??

I've had CU24's and CE24's in the past, and I'm quite familiar with the HFS, and how "hot" it is, and what it can do....I was curious what the bridge pickup used in P'sG or the BS24 can do?

Particularly, can it be used for rock and hard rock?

I'm looking for one more PRS to round out my collection...something that can be versatile. So far, my short list is the Studio, and I've added the BS24 to that list...kind of a CU24, but just a smidge different

I'm guessing any advice and/or reviews on a P'sG would apply basically to the BS24 as well (just add 2 frets-LOL)

Thank you.....any help is appreciated

Tony

Hmmmm

I wish I didn't watch that video!!

Very well done....and yes, it would appear that the Brushstroke would do what I want it to do.

Now I have to fight off the GAS

THANKS for posting the clip. I appreciate it!

I've played a lot of CU24's 22 McCarty's, singlecuts almost anything in the line up until recently when Paul started making a ton of different guitars. I just got a 408 this week, man I'm blown away, without a doubt my favorite PRS to date. I got lucky, found one used at a great price. Mine has brushstroke birds, East Indian RW neck and finger board. I LOVE the neck, the scale is perfect for my playing and the pickups are so rich I've yet to find my favorite sounds. I'm picking up a Dual Rec combo tonight so I'm going to find out first hand how hard it will rock. I've been playing through a Mesa TA combo and the bridge pickup is very dynamic and clear, great response. The neck is tight and full, sounds great tapped. Paul made an amazing PRS that is nothing like any other PRS I've ever played or owned

This is me with my 408MT BRW on Mesa Mark V

For metal, 408 will give that tight low end or "oomph" that the narrow 408 in PG or BS24 could not.

You're welcome! I could not find any VDO on Brushstroke24 before I got mine, but base on my great Paul's Guitar, I went ahead and ordered it anyway. What a great all around guitar!

I don't have any clips to point to, but I can definitely say that my Paul's can go from completely pristine cleans to about as much distortion as you could want. I'm going through my Blackstar HT Club 50 and looking at both the American and British through the ISF and anything in between. I love being able to flip from humbucking on the neck to coil tapping the bridge, vice versa, or using both together, also vice versa. You can sure enough rock this beast!
