Hi all,

Now almost a month has past since I have my Paul's Guitar as per this

http://prsguitars.com/forum/showthr...orum-Just-got-my-first-PRS-2013-Paul-s-Guitar

A lot of my friends has asked me for the sound sample, so I made this quick clip for them and thought I would share it here too
This was just to show the Paul's guitar in real life situation with effect and backing track. I chose this song because it seems to match the sound of this wonderful guitar perfectly

But my playing is nowhere near perfect, so pardon my sloppy playing...

Equipment used :

PRS Paul's Guitar : Bridge pickup in humbucking mode
Mesa Boogie Mark V head
Mesa Boogie Rectifier 2x12 cabinet
Zoom A2.u for delay effect

Recorded using Zoom H2n directly in front of the speaker

And here it is...

Good job! Sounds excellent!

Nice sound :)
Nice playing
Pretty hard to go wrong with a Boogie and a PRS

I really enjoyed your playing and the tone is terrific! Nice work! Really nice feel and timing, too.

Sounds great!
I am getting to the point now that I can tell what a PRS sounds like.
I already know Fenders and Gibsons, but PRS have their own unique sound.

Wow, sounds VERY nice! Wasn't sure if the narrow 408 bridge would have too much treble but that was super smooth!

Thank you for your kind comments krab!

I was kind of skeptical for the narrow 408 in the bridge position too. When playing alone, without any other instruments, it is kind of a little over the top on the high, and a little thin (compare to the rich, full body sound from neck position). However, like PRSh said, once in the mix, it sits really well. Focused, crisp, with more than enough richness to make it stand out.

Every time I turn on the amp with this Paul's guitar connected, I really am in tone heaven!

BTW, the Boogie Mark V was set up in Channel 3, Mk IIc+ mode. I normally used this channel in Mk IV mode for that butter smooth Petrucci sound (with Musicman JP6, I was pretty close!) but this Paul's Guitar really encourage me to lower the gain, to the point that I even change the mode to Mk IIc+ for more expressive "PRS" sound.
